An improver’s third…
Our one-hit wonder in Storm de Lune (5 units ew, $2.00) belied previous form, running on from midfield for a tidy third, maybe he’s got the idea now, so we’ll keep an eye on him going forward…
Seven from the book as we hit the midweeks, with racing in Tauranga, plus meetings at Pakenham and the Kenso in Aus.
Midweek Magnificent Seven…
STOKES
Tauranga, 1
Lot of hype today about this fella,so with the Bonus Bet operating on the first two races, I think we can have a reasonable pop at his here as the $2.80 fav.
BET: 10 unit win
TIDAL RUSH
Tauranga, 4
Hard to follow, only one win from 26 starts. Drops back in distance significantly for this, has won and placed at the 1400m and placed at this track. Maybe a place at $13…
BET: 3 units ew
BIT NOSY
Tauranga, 7
Been following her for some time before she finally broke maidens back in January. Went for a spell before pulling up at Taupo and returned 25 days ago running next to last at Ruakaka after being prominent in the run. Fav distance, so EW at $26 is the go…

BALTIC COAST
Kensington, 2
Resuming from a 4 month break, and has a tidy first-up record, so worth following. Usually gets back but that shouldn’t be an issue in this small field. $4 on offer.
BET: 8 unit win
AMATI
Kensington, 4
She was impressive winning from dead last back in Feb and subsequently placed at G3 level. Needed the resuming run 14 days ago, second-up form is tidy and distance suits, however she may prefer a bit more give in the ground as she’s 7: 0-0 on good going… $8 in a small field.
BET: 5 unit win
DESTINATION
Kensington, 5
Two runs back have been good and he drops back in grade for this. Schofield is a positive, and while he spaces his wins out, he rates a chance in this at $12.
BET: 4 units ew
COOL ENCOUNTER
Ipswich, 3
He’s very consistent, and rarely far away at the business end. Won at the T&D in June, Thornton is a nice booking up top, and he’s a very good chance in this small field at $6.50.
BET: 8 unit win
