A promising third… again…
A solid run from Sacred Kiwi (3 units ew) netted a third placing at $3.30, and he’s hinting that he’s coming back into form with two decent runs resuming this prep, definitely on the radar now…

First run this prep was good, then ran last. Dropped in grade last time but never emerged from the back. Likes the heavy, but he’s been getting those tracks, and is back up in grade today. Both wins have been left-handed, so small EW wager at $16…

Was in good order around the turn of the year before two ordinary runs to finish last prep. Better when she jumps well, a requirement over the 1000m scamper. Resumes with a decent first-up record (4:2-1) and can figure as $5.50 second fav here with Jaylah onboard.

Scissor Step, Fire

SS won twice this prep for us a decent odds, the jump to BM84 a bit much last time, though not far off, so drops back to BM78, and Jaylah’s onboard again. Think he goes well here, sleeper at $21…
Fire’s early career form was sound but dropped off a bit during last year. Has very good stats for this and gets D Lane, so rates a chance for me resuming, $12 on offer.

Resumed from a 158 day spell at Seymour 17 days ago, and needed the run. He tends to get back in the run, so back up to 1700m will suit (1:1), and he’s good on soft going. Second-up stats good, gets Froggy up top, real Hall of Famer candidate at $51…
