Our one-hit wonder in Golden Fantasy was in it for a long way at big odds but got swamped in the last 50m or so.
Let’s have a look at our six Hump Day tips, where one of our insider-info horse is going today, and he’s a real hot-pot fav in his third run!!

My mate owns a leg of this lad, and his first two runs for close-up fourths indicated that he’s got talent. Waller’s very upbeat about him, and JMac hops onboard today, he looks hard to beat as the $2.20 fav back from Saturday racing.

Caught the eye in December and came back from the 4 moth break in good form with two wins (one here) and a third before jumping to this grade and weakening out to seventh at Rosehill 11 days ago. Winning jockey J Parr hops back on, and he’ll go better this time round, $6.50 on offer.

Back after almost 5 months away, only had two runs last prep, earlier this year, both for fifth and not too far away. This is a bit shorter than he’d prefer, so he’ll need to be closer to the pace than he usually is, and has placed twice first up. Might need the run as a $31 shot in this…

Next-timed him in Jan and he duly led all the way two weeks later to clear maidens before heading to the paddock for 5 month or so. Returned to this grade with a third and a fourth last month, finishing on well from the back, so the rise to 1740m today should suit. Winning jock sticks, $21 on offer, EW shot.
