Four placings…

Two seconds, a third and fourth from yesterday…

Set the Sails (3 units ew) had resumed from over a year in the paddock with a couple of warm-up runs, but we fancied he’d appreciate the better ground, and he sailed home to run a close second paying $4.20 the place, earning a next-time tag…

Oenology (3 units ew) resumed from a similar break, he too back on his favoured soft going and running second at $2.70, another one to watch.

Tactfull (4 units ew) has been close up in four runs this prep, and the addition of Zac Spain up top gave us some indication of his chances, running third at $4 the place, there’s a win coming…

Brilliant Mind found a bit of form and finished well for fourth, as did Moscow Red for fifth after getting shuffled back early.

He was just another class on debut 20 days ago at Ballarat, winning by 3.5 lengths and the rest even further away. Ben Allen sticks, don’t mess around, get on now at $1.80…

Won her first three and then returned from a spell with three runs up in grade, close but without threatening to win. Resumes again from a two month spell, back in grade, find his fav going (3:2-0) and certainly his fav jockey in Justin Huxtable (2:2-0), and presents today as the $2.80 second fav. Can win this.

Very consistent and resumed who’s resumed needing the two runs, and should be fitter now. Frontrunner who pushes out to the 1550m, where he has decent T&D stats and also under Josh Parr t6:2-3). Will need to be ridden a touch conservatively, top two look tough to beat but he can feature in this small field at $8.
