A Primo winner…
A very gritty performance from Primo yesterday, up on the pace, headed, but fought back superbly to get up at $4.20 for us.
Our other two couldn’t quite place for us…
Eleven for the midweeks, and dare we say all of them well-fancied, so expecting some real returns from today’s blackbookers…

The win two back over this T&D was superb, leading all the way to get up at a magnificent $26. Jumped to this grade 18 days ago and ran a decent fourth. Houston sticks, can play a role at $8.

Great debut under Shinn 19 days ago at Geelong, when he was spruiked and well-supported, getting up with some ease. Steps up to the 1400m and looks like he can go on with it, $2.20 fav.

This is a challenge, as we have the top three in betting here. Probably rate them in order of the betting, so just going for Mr Verse narrowly as $2.90 fav.

Finding it a bit tough to win but extremely consistent. Fav looks hard to beat on return, so EW for DD. Race in two by the look of it…

Two nice wins in this grade in his last two, both on heavy tracks, and while he’s drawn out somewhat here, he does have early speed, so he should be able to manage to find a handy spot over the 1800m at $5.

Resumed in June at Newcastle with a solid second and we fancied him to push on with it a month ago at Taree and he made a mess of them. B Looker sticks, up in grade, but no reason to think he can’t push on with it as $2.70 fav.

Huge from the back for third on resuming three weeks ago this track, he was spruiked up and earned a next-time tag, looks hard to beat as $2.90 fav.
