Four tips yesterday as we filled all the placings with a winner, a second, a third and a fourth…

Write Your Own came right after a couple of average runs, powering home from the turn to win at $2.60, with Kool Bird, who looked the winner at one point down the straight, just missing third with a bold run close to the pace.

Dillinger also turned in an improver’s run for second, but the eye-catcher was Deep Stream, hanging around the $51 mark and looking every part an also-ran as he dropped right out the back, but made his move just before the final bend and rattled home for a very close third, paying $5.50 the place. Still a maiden, but for how long? We’re watching…

Huge from the back for third on resuming in early August this track, he was spruiked up and earned a next-time tag and repeated the dose three weeks ago same T&D. Gets the deadly Gollan/Jones combo and likes primed to take this out as $2.40 fav, will be there late…

Back from a five month break two weeks ago this track, thought it might be a touch short for him but he ran home fast from last to run second, the push out to 1300m will suit. Drawn the carpark so will need to negotiate that early, fav jockey up top, major player as $5 second fav.
