A tidy third on debut just before Christmas and her trainer advised us to blackbook her, and we jumped onboard late Feb here where she dashed home for fifth in the heavy going. Thought the rise to the mile would suit a month ago where she didn’t emerge from the pack but went a bit better 13 days ago this T&D for fifth. EW chance in this at $12.

Resumed from a massive 533 day break a month back, and his form prior to that was very promising. He was forward on the run, just weakening late, and will be better for that run for sure. Will be keeping him very safe at what looks like a generous $8 in an open betting race.

Finished fast for a close second, as he tends to, on resuming at this T&D 13 days ago. Will be better for it and should go close at $8.

Resumes from a six month spell, won well on debut then went to some higher grade races immediately and didn’t disgrace herself at all. Gets Billy up top and won her two recent trials, got to think she’ll go well here as $3.60 second fav.

Impressive last prep and he returned from a 220 day spell in March after winning a trial under H Coffey. Never really got into the race but made some late progress into a close fifth. Thought he’d be suited 22 days ago at Ballarat and he was gritty winning from the front. Up in grade and distance, Harry sticks, can figure if ridden a little conservatively, should be tough at the finish, $11 is nice…

Spruiked on debut 24 days ago and showed a lot of character after being headed to get up and win. $3.90 in a three-way go for favouritism in this and he can win it…

He’s been close up at Morks in recent runs, the latest just missing by a nose. Moving towards a win and gets his chance here as $3.80 fav.

Chequered career, with only one win from 21 to date, and resumed early December from a huge break of 508 days. Raced on-pace 28 days ago at Ascot over the mile but faded late. Drops back to 1400m here which may assist if he can get out quick again, but he’s the $41 outsider here…
