Mr Mischief (3 units ew) did us proud, with a gritty staying performance to get up at $8.20/$2.70.
We suggested it might be a bit short for Sachem, and he just let the leaders get a bit too far ahead before bolting home for a $1.70 third. Keeping an eye on him though…

Went last to first in July at Ballarat then ran three places then a ninth before heading for a 4 month break. Finished well for third at Hamilton two weeks ago when well-supported. Up in grade today, this is his fav distance and is 2 from 3 on soft tracks, so the $15 looks generous…
VASMEE

This is the easiest race he’s contested for some time, needed the run on resumption and will be finishing fast over this longer distance. $12 makes him a solid EW bet, despite the last three duck eggs…

Hasn’t really been a factor in her last two despite the good run for third on resumption. Gets her fav jock back onboard and can improve as a $16 shot.

Early career impressive, but last three last prep a bit plain. Back to the 1050m dash, she’s quick, got good stats all round, should be a factor today as $4.60 second fav and down in grade. Has trialled.
