One-hit winner, chicken dinner!!
The new addition to the book in Side Show didn’t let us down as another One-Hit Wonder bolts home for us!
Despite a drift in betting, Tommy Berry found an extra gear or two and he ran away by two and a half lengths at $2.90, a nice reward for our 10 unit win investment!
Four from the midweeks today, and all four are well up in the betting with realistic winning chances based on recent form. Looks like a decent Yank bet, plus the two at Ballarat can anchor the late qadi…
The Wednesday Yank!
PONDALOWIE
Ballarat, 5
Supported and spruiked up on debut in September at Bendigo, and duly obliged. B Shinn booked and rode her in a trial win 9 days ago. $2.10 fav, wins for me…
BET: 10 unit win
GIRL
Ballarat, 6
She consistently raced well in higher grades than this in the middle of last year, including a close third to subsequent metro winner Wishlor Lass in October. Back after a 112 day spell, and Shinn also onboard, she can take this out as $3.80 second fav, and these two can anchor the late qadi for us…
BET: 10 unit win
SWEYSIVE
Randwick, 1
We were very keen on his chances 19 days ago at Warwick Farm, especially with his second-up form, but looked like he just needed the run… Third-up today and fighting-fit for this, he’s 2:2 at the Kenso and will enjoy the push out to the 1550m. Parr sticks, $3 fav, again, wins for me…
BET: 10 unit win
TWICE ON SUNDAY
Doomben, 7
On-pacer who dropped back to the 1800m last time out, and was ridden more conservatively, but was able to produce a gritty finish to get up as a drifting $8 shot at Caloundra for us 26 days ago. Back up to the 2030m here is the question, but she sports pretty good stats for this, and now she’s re-discovered where the winning post is, she can double up here as $6.50 third fav in an open betting race.
BET: 5 units ew
