Two from three…
A third and a fourth yesterday for our three tips, all 5 unit ew shots, with Forty Four Cubits running third and Scenic Rim fourth, both getting back in the run and steaming home, and both ones to watch next time out.
Genjiro was handy throughout but faded late…
Six as we hit the midweeks, including the first ever meeting at the new Caulfield Heath track in Victoria, for an eight race twilight meeting, looking forward to that!

POLYGON
Matamata, 7
Strike rate is a bit thin, and her resuming run was so-so, but a bit on the short side for her. The 2000m will suit here better, as will the softer track and McNab is 1 from 1 up top. Finished last prep with a couple of thirds, one of them a G2 race, so stripping fitter here she’ll go a lot better today, $6 on offer, watch for her late!

Caulfield Heath, 4
Another one getting back up to a more suitable distance but needs to lift. Goes round as a big odds outsider today ($81), 7 day backup.

GRAYSONG
Caulfield Heath, 5
Superb win from the back in August and has gone well up in grade since, nice return at MV in early Feb but never got in the race 25 days ago at Morks. Good stats at the distance, B Melham hops on and he’s won third up in the past, so deffo an EW chance as $15 outsider.

Kensington, 6
Impressive when bolting in to break his maiden last Feb and has run well since in better races. Resumed from a 5 month spell in August at the Valley well-supported to run a close fifth before another 5 month spell and resumed with a second then a fifth 19 days ago. Absolute on-pacer, gets Bayliss up top (4:1-1) and will be fitter today, $3.60 second fav, looks like a race in two…

HAYAI MESU
Strathalbyn, 7
Went in the book with her only win last March and had been going well for the new stable until struggling and never in the race last start at Morks. She was scratched the other day and goes here, Pannell jumps on, good EW shot in an open betting race.

MISS INTENTION
Belmont, 7
Needed the resuming run 11 days ago, this is a better distance for her and jockey has good record aboard. Still needs to lift, watch late, $12 on offer…
