Our two roughies were unable to make an impact yesterday, so it’s on to the midweeks, featuring Saturday’s abandoned and re-scheduled Randwick-Kenso meeting.

Resumed on the Hillside track three weeks ago after an 8 month break and obviously needed the run. Previous form was solid, he’s 1:1 at the mile and Jye sticks, plus he’s 6:2-1-0 second-up. Looks a value runner at $21, would like it firmer, but keep him safe too…

Saltcoats resumed in early July needing the run over too short and ran a good third. Steps up to the more suitable 1800m, will enjoy the heavy going and Z Lloyd sticks, hard to beat as $2.10 fav.

Sky Lab ran ninth in that last race when resuming, after two seconds in two trials. Also pushing out over further, has won second-up and on heavy, outsider at $19.

Recently re-located from Chris Waller’s NSW stable to his Queensland stable, and looking for drier tracks. A valiant effort 12 days ago on the heavy for third, he’ll be better suited today on the firmer ground and back to the 1400m. R Maloney a positive booking up top, expecting him to slot in or even lead if he jumps well, that being the case he’s a great chance to break maidens as $3.30 fav.

Form last spell was impressive, just tailed off his last two but resumes from a 19 weeks break, and while he might need the run, jockey onboard is 6:2-3-0 up top. $6 on offer, watch for him late!

Kiwi mare who resumed in early July from a break of just over a year. Won her maiden on debut very impressively from the back then ran second at Doomben on her Aussie debut before a close seventh before heading to the paddock. Ran on well from last in that race for fourth and repeated the dose for third 21 days ago this T&D, earning a next-time tag from us. Would prefer it firmer but expect her to be there at the death, another to watch for late, also at $6…

Yet another resuming, and has won and placed first-up. Ran second in a recent trial but may need this, $13 shot.
