My mate owns a leg of this mare, she’s very well thought of by the stable, won on debut and not far off in subsequent runs bar one in a Listed race in June. Resumes from a five month break in this 800m scamper, if she jumps OK she’s a real prospect in this as $4 second fav.

Well-bred gelding who resumed at Caloundra 18 days ago after 283 days away and will have taken benefit from the run, and was only 1.6 lengths off the winner. He’s 3:1-1 second-up, down in grade, up in distance and gets the talented Ms Lang up top, very much a chance in this at $4.60.

Backmarker who had been tracking along well and got up with a well-timed run from the back last month ago at Ballina but couldn’t go on with it in this grade 10 days ago. Worth another shot though at $34, watch for her late.

He’s had a very chequered career, with only one win from 18 to date, and resumed early December from a huge break of 508 days. Has progressed with three runs this prep with a close third 16 days ago and up to the mile will suit, EW shot at $34 also…
