Just the four yesterday, and we were very bullish about Primo’s chances (10 unit win), especially with Schiller up top on his only ride at the meeting, and so it proved as he put them away over the longer distance at $2.50, one to follow we think…

Some decent stats on the going and at the distance, but he spaces his wins out somewhat. Backmarker who’ll need to get closer to the pace to figure here today, down in grade and gets a jockey upgrade, $24 outsider…

He was showing some decent form in late 2022, went to the paddock for a couple of spells since and has done little in his last four runs. Resumes from a short spell today, has won on heavy, but hard to recommend for the win as $19 shot in a small field.

Huge run from dead last on debut last July, suggesting a win wasn’t far off, but three subsequent runs have only produced a fourth when racing here in October. Jake Toerek is a good booking up top, she’s $8.50 on resuming today, watch for her late, more to come from this girl…

Plenty of experienced locals in this as usual, and Galenus led all the way here 19 days ago for the win. $6.50 in a small field, chance at that…
