We struck out with our three yesterday, we thought Seiryu had turned the corner form-wise but she faded after being in a prime spot on the final bend. Makbeel was lengths away in last, but noted late finishing on into sixth at big odds. On the radar…

Strangely enough, he was our one-hit wonder here exactly four weeks ago and repeats the dose today. He’s getting plenty of practice in on this surface recently, and has a very good finish in him, running home from dead last a week ago here for a close fifth. Great stats, and the stretch back out to 1200m looks tailor-made, though he is up in grade, but still looks a good EW punt at $7.
