An encouraging run from Telegraph yesterday, we had him as the sleeper in this, and he finished well despite getting held up briefly on the run in the run third paying $3.50. We’ve got a solid eye on him, next time for sure…

Noted on debut with a huge finish before winning next up. Not so flash since but generally thereabouts. Trialled up nicely for his return with the new barn and they had him a $2.40 fav, but he just needed the run, finishing a close fourth. Fitter and up to his fav distance and going, he ran a fast-finishing second three weeks ago, and though well-beaten by the fav, he had the rest well covered, and we marked him up as a next-timer. Fitter, and if he handles the heavy, he’ll be descending on them late, $3.40 second fav.

SS found the BM66 a bit too rich nine days ago, his form at this level prior very consistent and rates a decent EW shot in this at $5.50.

Jalmari has managed a seventh in his last six runs, the other five in the last three, so I don’t share TAB’s comment of “sure to be thereabouts” I’m afraid… I’d be wanting more than the $8.50 on offer…
