Five thirds and a fourth…
Well our insider tips failed to deliver yesterday, but we did roll up with FIVE third placings and a fourth…
La Opcion ($3.90), Unflinching ($2.20), Hayai Mesu ($2.20), Little Rich Boy ($2.50) and Desert Petard ($1.80) provided some returns, while Alf’s Magic made it into fourth, that’s 55% providing a dividend!
Three from the book today, two of them rank outsiders, the other one that we put a next-time flag on, and is, in our opinion, due a win…

Three runs back this prep, all in triple figures, running last twice and next to last the other. His early form was sound before running down the track in Sept 22 and heading to the paddock for over a year. One run back in Oct last year, then another 128 days out. Some redeeming factors, his heavy form, where he’s 5:1-2 and the distance, where he’s 2:1-1, plus the drop in grade, so maybe this is what they’ve been waiting for… $23 outsider in a small field so we’ll keep him safe…

Veteran galloper who’s also gone well on heavy (noted in our book as a mudder), she was in fine form around 18 months ago for us, barely missing the frame over half a dozen runs. She’s a get-back type resuming today, and will need to be a bit further forward to feature in the finish over the shorter course today… $21 outsider in a small field…

KALAHARI HEART
Moree, 7
She’s been a bit hard to catch, but the run at Armidale 15 days ago saw her fly home from last to just miss the frame, less than 2 lengths off the winner, which flagged her up as a next-timer. Present as a $9 shot here, jockey sticks, and if she can get her closer in the run, she finish right over the top of these…
