The right choice!!

NZ tracks have really taken a beating over the winter months, and that continued into yesterday’s Te Rapa meeting, where the meeting was  prematurely terminated after a fall in the second race, cutting out three of our blackbookers…

That left Oakeys Choice to show that his recent improver’s form was worth following as he dominated the race and held on strongly for a Hall of Fame $10 win!

It’s a Two-fer Tuesday again, with a couple of real hotpot chances!

Won two from four last prep, including a 5 length demolition job at Pt Macquarie in June. Carpark draw three weeks later and didn’t really feature before heading for the paddock for eleven weeks. Resumed ta month ago with a close fifth at Taree then came out 18 days ago with an on-speed win at Port Macquarie, and with E Farr up top looks set to continue, she’s 1:1 third-up, great win prospect at $3.80.

Resumed from a long break three weeks ago, with only one run last prep in December, so obviously had some issues. Noted when winning on debut in Feb two years ago, we thought he might need this one, but the way he powered home for third at big odds earned him the next-time tag, love the H Coffey addition up top, right in this as $5 second fav.
