He was trucking along OK until his run in early August at Townsville where he ran a very ordinary last of sixteen. Better than that, got the firm footing he likes and back to the mile six weeks ago, and he landed in a nice spot but couldn’t go on with it, but ran an improved fifth. Back to the 1200m 35 days ago and ran an improver’s race for second. Tries the 1400mm today, doesn’t want it too wet underfoot, $6 in a small field…
