Followed by two nice thirds!
Happy birthday to all Southern Hemisphere racehorses!
Two thirds for us yesterday, with Wild Rocket (2 units ew) shrugging off previous poor form to run a very close third (short head and a neck) at a juicy $6.90 the place.
We also spruiked Moscow Red (4 units ew) to make the frame from her usual backmarker position, and she did just that, dead last most of the way and rattling home for third at $2.60 the place when down severely in grade. Watches on both of these for next time…
Well it’s a one-hit wonder day today, we’ve done well with these in the past, and this would certainly be a feather in our cap as an $18 shot…

Generally up on the pace, so back to her fav 1000m is a plus. Jockey has ridden her 24 out of her 28 runs, she has won here, though would probably prefer a little give in the ground. Only two wins from the 28, but one was third up, so she’s an EW shot in a very open betting race…
