Quiet Monday…
Our big hope for yesterday in Wango Award was scratched, leaving just Ultimate Man, who ran sixth.
Five from the book today, including a couple of impressive last-start winners…
Five on Tuesday
CAPITAL GIRL, DUCHESS ADELE
Mackay, 2
CG is a perennial backmarker who has found some form this prep, with a win and a second in her last two. Capable of a big finish and up to the mile today will suit, down in grade, watch for her late, solid EW punt at $7.50. DA continues to plod round without getting close, though this is her distance, $21 shot…

PAHANG
Narromine, 3
Got clear late two back and bounced home at odds for us for second at Moree. Did nothing next run here, but does enjoy this distance. Has won at good odds for us previously, another one to watch for late at $8.50.

SAPPHIRES SON
Narromine, 5
Went in the book three weeks ago with a magnificent all-the-way win at Quirindi, registering a new class record in the process back in the BM58. Spruiked up by the trainer, he’d not win for some time, and Rory Hutchings had jumped on after Aaron Bullock was indisposed and steered him home to an easy win. Stays in the same grade, up 2kgs but Bullock (2:1-1) is back onboard, and if he repeats that from, he wins here as $4.50 second fav.

RULE OF TIME
Swan Hill, 6
Another new addition to the book, she sat back at Benalla two weeks ago as the hot fav before cruising up under Billy Egan and run away from them to notch an impressive win and clear maidens. Co-fav in a two horse race contest here at $3, a repeat of that will see her win again.
BET: 10 unit win
