A right Royal winner!!

A regal winner yesterday from the ultimate in fast-finishing horses Royal Fox (5 units ew), Noonan just sat him towards the back, patiently worked him up on the turn and he produced his trademark turn of foot (hoof?) to win easily at $7.50/$2.25.

Croatian Belle was backed as if unbeatable (an opinion we shared) and looked the winner all the way up the straight but got nicked on the line, paying $1.40 the place.

Two abandonments over the ditch leaves us with just three from the book, two in the same race…

We were pretty keen on Rudhyar 10 days ago, back from Saturday metro and a couple of fast finishes under his belt and a touch down in grade, but he never really got out of the pack but he did run a close fifth. The step up to 2100m is a surprise, but he’s thereabouts most races, drops in grade and gets Jonny Allen up top, and he’s a close fav at $2.50. He’ll do today.

MM is racing poorly, yet they stick him up in class. Outsider at $126, win would surprise…

Broke maidens this T&D two months ago, and is generally in at the finish, however she got back and stayed there a month ago at Warwick Farm, running last in heavy conditions. Better suited by today’s track, Jason Collett sticks, and we think she’ll go well today in a tight betting race where she’s a $7 chance.
