Well we certainly banged in a couple of goals yesterday!
Just the two from the book, and while we would have preferred Secret Location (10 unit win) to hold out Sacred Kiwi (5 units ew), we weren’t complaining as SK got up in a thrilling finish at $5.40/$2.10, backed in from $9. We suggested getting involved in the exotics, which provided us with an $8.90 quinella, a $100.40 trifecta and a $311.80 first four.
Two more today, one a well-fancied next-timer, the other an $81 shot…

Nine days ago, we spruiked this lad up, after he was noted bolting in at Newcastle in November and winning again the following month. Couple of other runs a bit so-so, but as he goes best under Michaela Weir, who was back onboard, (and retains the ride today), and we tipped him as the day’s sleeper. He produced a massive run from near last to run second, earning himself a next-time status, and here he is on the 9 day back-up. At $4.40/$1.95 on 365, he’s an easy EW pick.

Track, distance and going stats are OK for this, which should improve his chances, with recent form a bit ordinary. Will need to have him up on the speed, but capable of running a place in this at an outrageous $81…
