Who Ever Thought was backing up from a win three weeks ago and we thought he was a real win chance down in grade yesterday, but he sat off-pace and coming round the final bend, he didn’t look to be going that well, but found a bit more to surge late and get up by the narrowest of margins, defying the betting drift out to $8.50.

Places for Puntin, Overlord and a fast-finishing Sir Boo, who paid $4.90 the place, earning a next-time tag…

We had her to use the rise to the mile to his advantage under Jake Pracey-Holmes 20 days ago, but with 600m to go and a long third-last, it was looking pretty unlikely, but he unleashed a massive finish to get up on the line. Went back to the 1450m 9 days ago at Muswellbrook, and it proved a bit short as she steamed home again for third, so back up to the 1700m and back in grade makes her hard to beat, $2.30 fav.
