Backmarker who went in the book this time last year with a back-to-front win, rarely far away and a very consistent place record. Has had a couple of races to tune up, resumes after changing stables and is ready to win here as $2.80 fav.

Race #122 for the old girl, and she chucks in the odd win and place for us, so today would be most welcome as the $101 outsider in this field… Has won at this distance, in the class, on this footing and under this jockey (just to inflate your confidence a little…)

As I’ve mentioned previously, there’s two Kattegat’s going these days, one here and this one in Oz. Rank outsider here at $21, he’s rarely far off, and gets R King on today, who’s placed 5 from 7 on him, so rates an EW chance on that alone, plus he’s down in grade…

Powered home for the win at Gosford in August under JMac, back from a 4 month spell today and gets Prebble up top, who rode her to a trial win last week. Back in grade, generally up near the pace, so the 1100m should suit. EW shot at $7.

Last couple have been a bit ordinary, and he steps back up to the BM70 today, so finding it a bit hard to enthuse in this small field… $3.90 on offer…

Got hopelessly trapped on the bend last time out at Gawler two weeks ago, and was marked as a next-timer. Had previously been backed on debut to finish third before changing stables. Last run was after a year plus in the paddock. Wins this as $2.75 fav. Sell the farm.

Similar story on Boxing Day with this mare to finish second, and has run two close races here since. The step back up to 1200m will do her no harm at all as $3.10 fav. Get onboard!
