We utilised MailChimp, who, after three days, have decided that what we do is considered by them to be outside their scope, ie, gambling. I informed them that we were emailing people already subscribed to our tipping service, but they declined to answer. Caught the eye with an all-the-way win at Rotorua in June to eventually break maidens on his 24th attempt. Ran a close third at this grade for us last month at $13 SP, chance today at $6.50.

Matamata, Race 8
Ran a very encouraging fourth at Avondale and has been on watch since, running another fourth last time out for us at $41 SP. Has a good finish, and despite being unplaced in eight races, is a live shot today at $7.50.

BOLDINHO
Sandown, Race 2
He was gritty on resumption after 6 months away, getting up late on the Pak synthetic surface two weeks ago. Well-backed, and he can push on from here in this small field, Zahra sticks. $2.70 on offer.

Sandown, Race 3
He resumes after a three month spell, got a great strike rate, winning 7 from 15 and placed four times. Other stats all good, and point to a bold return at $5.50.

RUDHYAR & GONE WEST
Sandown, Race 4
Rudhyar’s last two at the Valley found him out a little, gotta be near the pace there, so the switch to his fav track and distance makes him a good choice here in an open betting event. $5.50 on offer.
Gone West is a former Kiwi who won 3 out his last 4 in NZ before heading to the paddock for a massive 21 month break. Re-appears in his debut run in Aussie as a $34 shot. Does possess a blistering finish, all depends how forward he is, but could spice up the exotics hugely!

Canterbury, Race 6
He produced a huge finish to win at Wyong in July but has been well-beaten in his next two. Gets winning jockey J Collett up top as rank outsider here at $23. Will need to be closer to the pace today…
