Palencia got us off to a great start at Townsville, dominating the race to win easily at $4 (5 units ew).
Then a couple of close fourths in Staremm and Vahash, who both finished well from the back, next time for them…

Race 6: The exotically-named DAULAT TAI PANAZIZ is hard to catch, though he was won and placed for us at nice odds. Has won second up, and wasn’t far on resumption three weeks ago even though 8th of 9. Chance at $10.
BET: 3 units ew
CAMBRIDGE
Race 3: DESTINYS GIRL broke her maiden on resumption at Avondale with a huge run from the back after being heavily backed. Forgive the last run in the heavy, watch for her late here as $5 fav.
BET: 5 units ew
SANDOWN
Race 3: KURABUI popped up with four straight on debut and is progressing through the grades nicely. Needed the run when pulling up lame on resumption, but is unbeaten second up, and looks primed to take this today. Just about worth ew at $4.40/$1.75
BET: 6 unit win.
Race 8: SIXBYSIXTYTHREE and HELLO BROADCAST contest this one, the former racking up three out of his first three as wins. Has been close since and resumes from 6 moths in the paddock today. Good stats, go close at $4.20. The latter is ex-GB and ex-HK and came over with a reputation that he really hasn’t lived up to… Paying $17 at the mo, could run a place…

Race 1: MOON OVER ALICE got up for us last time out here and hops up in grade for this, though drops a little weight. Watch her late, $3.90 on offer

Race 5: ZOUDINI noted this day one year ago with an all the way win, then been a little in and out but never far away since, got up for us here in Jan at $13, can place again here at $10
