Today’s Tips: Wednesday 29th June 2022
Great early start yesterday with Star Status showing a tremendous burst to win at $10.50.
Followed it with the $9.10 squat trifecta in race 7 also at Townsville.
To be honest, I was not enamoured with the apprentice’s ride on Mr Mischief, left with far too much to do, ran third at $1.20… Similarly, Golden Fantasy produced far too late, running fourth…
Ah well, Hump Day it is, and 11 from the book (three in one race though)…

SANDOWN
Race 2: RUDHYAR has tidy stats, doesn’t mind the wet and will be doing his best work late. Chance at $8.50
BET: 3 units ew
Race 3: PEPPER’S GHOST is consistent, and usually thereabouts. Drops in grade and out to 2400mm, watch for him late.
BET: 3 units ew
Race 7: Plenty happening here, with CYCLONE SALLY, SANTERO and WORTH BOTTLING in this. The first two have the most appeal, CS sprinted away from them in the heavy here last time out, and drops back to the 1400m, and a repeat of that run should see her home here. Santero has only missed placings twice in 16 runs, and must go close. WB is $101+ and can only spice up the exotics…

Race 8: THE AWESOME SON gave us a couple of nice wins late last year, at $6.50 and $9. Consistent, and returns from 6 months away with his fav jock Mertens onboard (6:3-1). Has won in higher grade than this, can run a cheeky one here today at $16…

Race 7: DUCHESS ADELE noted this time last year rallying well to win at Warwick Farm, but hasn’t repeated that form since. $81 shot today, interest bet only…

Race 6: TELEGRAPH was gritty winning 12 days ago clearing maidens. Up in grade, but very consistent, and can figure here at $13.
