Race 7: FIVE SCHILLINGS is back after a 3 month spell, has form at this distance and has placed 3/4 on the heavy surface. $13 shot today but been a while since she showed anything. $13 on offer.

Race 4: MANHATTAN FORCE showed an nice change of gears to win at Geelong on debut in December, but hasn’t carried it through to the higher grades. Drops back here after racing prominently at HQ last time out, and steps up to the mile. $11, ew looks best.

Race 7: LITTLE MAX was gritty winning second-up in November at Kyneton. Spelled for 6 months, he came back to run a close second, then a distance fifth, remains to be seen whether he can handle the extra 200m. $18 shot. We also have ROMANIA in this, his win in December was impressive, led all the way and Froggie got him home by 4.8 lengths. Thought he’d turned the corner there, but his next run was poor. Been in the paddock for nearly 6 months, returns today under Dan Stackouse, $21 on offer.
