Te Rapa has been moved out to Friday, so it’s just two from the book, one a stone-cold fav who surely can’t be beat, and a rank outsider with a very live chance of making the frame at $19… Let’s have a look…

There was clearly something amiss with her last time out, jumping last and finishing there at Hamilton two weeks ago. Had previously won or placed in her last six races.
Noted with a big finish under Yendall in late November, and marked as next-time, when he duly got up for us a month ago as the hotpot fav at Horsham. Had been scratched or missed runs due to abandoned meetings recently, suggesting they’d been waiting for better ground.
Yendall jumps off but Coffey jumps on, and while she’s up in grade, I couldn’t leave her out, even as the $19 outsider…

Murdered ‘em a month ago here over this distance at BM-58 before close up at Gawler 8 days ago in BM68. Drops back to BM56 today here as top weight, with the apprentice getting 4 kgs off. Surely too good for this lot as $2.40 fav… Sell the farm…
