So close on that place trixie dammit!!

On-pacer Damreel (4 units ew) took a breather mid-race as we hoped he would, and kept something for the finish, cruising away to win by 2 lengths at $5/$1.70

You Ess Ess Are (5 units ew) got done by a bolter, but still returned $2.70 the place.

That left us relying on $26 shot Spirit of Pluto to run a place, and as predicted, he slid to the back of the field and finished on late, running fourth and missing the place by just under a length… so close!!
