CAULFIELD

Race 2: GUARDIAN SPIRIT was very tough in winning at Sandown in November, then wasn’t beaten too far when stepping up in grade next time out at Flem. Drops back in grade and back to his fav distance today, gets Zahra up top, and can win this very close betting event at around $4. Only seven in the race, so it’s a win bet.

Race 6: JESTA DREAMA is an honest type… followed up a fast finish in Sept with a win for us in October, then hopped up in grade to finish two close fourths, the last one at Flem with a great late run from the back and just miss the frame at $41 SP, and is today’s sleeper at $26.

Race 8: REAL GUN returned to form at Wangaratta for us three weeks back at $4.50 and looks a chance again today in the get-out at $12.

WARWICK FARM

Race 6: FORTIFIED came from well back to score by 4 lengths in May at Ipswich, then got up for us in September at Doomben at $10 before running two nicely priced thirds for us before heading to the paddock for a couple of months. Does space his form out a bit, but has good first up form as well as some other good stats. McEvoy jumps on for Waller, and if he’s got him right, he can be value here in this open betting contest at $8.

BELMONT

Race 6: ZOUDINI was noted clearing maidens back in July at Ballarat with an all the way win, then ran three more races before sent on a 4 month spell in the paddock. Returns today in a pretty open race at $7.

CAULFIELD LATE QADI

Some open events here today, I’ve gone for a mix of favs, plus our  tips, plus a couple of fancied roughies… 448 units if you care to play, should be a good pool…
