Maktastic (3 units ew) ran a gutsy second at $2.90 and we had a couple of fourths.

We spruiked up Vistown on resumption in December with J Fawcett onboard, and she duly obliged at $14. Came out again two weeks ago in an identical race and ran a plain fifth, but she’s worth another chance here today as second fav at $5. My CD spy has been keeping an eye on another Vela runner in Sicilian Dream, who’s been scratched a couple of times presumably waiting for to right going. She goes in this as an $11 chance, and worth including…
