Mr Mischief couldn’t hang on to the lead, but the nice stats we highlighted saw him run a nice second at $3.20 (5 units ew).
Super Quick Love’s run panned our exactly as we said, running on well for third at $4.60.
Little Max was another on-pacer, just faded in the straight, but still, two well-priced placings from the book!
Bit of action today, let’s start at Townsville with our six from the book…

Race 4: PALENCIA has some smashing stats for this and ran a third here for us a week ago behind our tip in the next race. Fav at $4 makes him backable ew, only the heavy the query…

Race 6: BRILLIANT MIND is in the same mold, though he’s a $2.50 fav here, must go in

Race 7: BOLD TYPE strikes an outside draw, but he’s had his hoof on the till, worth including today at $7

Race 1: Never seen a horse entered for four races in one day, but with Ballina abandoned, they just left to for STAREMM to select from, and she goes in this. Slight drop in grade, could surprise in a small field, especially if they’re that keen to run her… $13 on offer

She missed out through an abandoned meeting a few days back, so I’ll repeat here what I said then… Looking at the recent form of TARA JASMINE, you’d be forgiven for writing her off, yet late last year she ran up 4 wins out of 5, in good fashion too… She’s an astonishing 6 from 6 on the track and distance here, and Ben Looker’s 4 from 4 in the saddle, great stats all round. Notwithstanding her recent form, she looks generous at $8…

Race 6: VAHASH is on the quick back-up too, he’s 2/2 at this t&d and was unlucky in the run last time out. Prior to that he’d run three our=t of four placings. Fav at $3.40, watch for him late…
