Former NZer Makbeel was noted in early Jan resuming at Stony Creek with a dominating win, peeling off from the back to get home by 5.3 lengths in his maiden win. Ran home well last time at Wodonga, so the extra 400m should suit. Gets Jamie Mott up top, chance at a juicy $21
