Worth the wait at Riccy!!

Well, we said yesterday that we thought we had a few potential runners at Riccarton, and so it proved today with  returns in almost every race we tipped!

We’ve been sticking with June Bug (3 units ew) for some time now, and she duly obliged in the last, $16 if you got on early…

Close seconds for Amberecho (5 units ew, $1.80 the place), with Inmyshadow (4 units ew, $4.70 the place) just losing the Cup in a head-bobber…

Second Thought, ridden way to far back by McNab (5 units ew) steamed home for third at $1.70.

Burlitz flew home for fifth, missing a place by less than a length after being backed in to $11.

And just to top it off, Social Conscience (10 unit win) got up at $3.20 for us.

Not a bad Monday…

We were a bit keen on her last time out at Avondale where she ran a close third after failing here on the soft. Not sure about this heavy track, though she has placed on heavy. You can get $4/$1.90 on 365 as she gets Kozzi up top to try and break maidens…

Won four back for us at nice odds, but is very inconsistent. $41 outsider in this, gets a decent jock onboard, but will need to be up on speed to figure.

Similar story with this mare, won for us at $17 back in June but hard to make much of a case for her at $51…

Beaudesert, 4

Caught the eye resuming at Ipswich, getting out to an early lead and hanging in for a nice win to make it two in a row. The hattrick looks distinctly possible at $5/$1.95

DAMREEL

Beaudesert, 6

Expected better from him last time out last week at Lismore after winning his previous race, but he ran fifth. Up in grade a touch, and distance, but gets Tegan onboard, so rates a chance at the $5 mark.

Kyneton, 5

Noted bolting in by nearly 10 lengths in Sept, then failing on top of the ground next time out at Echuca. Back on the heavy last time at Traralgon and she ran a close second at SP $11 for us. Jockey sticks, and she’s a real chance at $8…
