Well, we’re at it again, with Kattegat getting up by the longest of necks at $11.30/$2.80 (3 units ew), also producing a nice trifecta at $323!
Fingertips supplied a nice second place dividend at $2.70, but in truth was soundly beaten by a dominant Le Force by 7 lengths, we’ll be watching both of those next time up…
And Gorush lightning almost supplied my place multi, going down in fourth by a length.
The abandonment at Warren denied us seeing Bandahara and Pahang.
An even quieter Tuesday sees only three on offer, and they’re three fancied runners today, so I suggest a cheeky $10 Trixie, $40 gets you $1400, and they are live chances in good betting races…

BALLARAT
Race 8: ROYAL FOX is second up today, went in the book last November with a nice win at the Bool, then went on to compete in higher city grade races, and not too far off… Good second up record (2:1-1), first time on synthetic but looks a real chance today as $3.40 fav.
BET: 8 unit win
CAIRNS
Race 7: STAR STATUS noted mid-June with a big run for third here, then came out and won for us two weeks later at Townsville at $8. This is his distance, winning jockey sticks, and while he’s a 48 race veteran, he’s hit some decent form and would pay to stick with him today as $4 fav.
BET: 8 unit win
Race 10: FOCUS will need plenty of that in this 950m dash-for-cash, but he’s 3:2-1 over this trip, and ran a very good close second at Bowen last month when second up. Jockey is 4:3-0 on him, and he couldn’t have been more impressive in late December, swooping from the back to complete the hattrick before heading to the paddock for nearly 6 months. Very much in the picture for this at $6…
