Showmanship was a big slider in betting yesterday to about $7, ran third on his long-awaited return, and dollar to donuts he’ll have needed that run, a deffo next-timer… Jaffastock wasn’t that far off, and I’ll put the same tag on him for his next run.

Race 2: MINGORA was quite brilliant from last here in late Jan, she’s 3:2 here and same for the distance. Hopped up in grade last time out for a fifth of sixth, but I think she’s a better prospect than the $51, and Olly up top can only help… Today’s sleeper…

Race 6: RUDHYAR was 2/2 last prep, producing an amazing burst in July to down Bainbridge at odds before winning again for us at Coleraine. Went to the paddock for 8 months and re-appeared a month back at Morphettville, running a very close second. Drops in grade, and will be fitter for that. $4.80/$1.95 makes him backable ew…

Race 8: VASMEE was another impressive all-the-way winner last month, and backed up with a second at Caulfield 12 days ago. Must be a great shot today for this front runner at $8…

Race 4: RUBRICA was solid on return, hasn’t been too bad last two runs but previous form was ordinary. $151 on offer, could run a place and spice up exotics…

Race 7: SILVER BO has run two seconds for us last two runs, went in the book June last year with a solid effort at odds at Lismore. Hasn’t been too far off, but those latest runs put her in with a chance as she drops in grade for this, $19 on offer…
