Effortkat (4 units ew) blitzed ‘em effortlessly at $3.30/$1.70 (better odds if you got on early) as she returned to Port Lincoln, where she has great stats.
Three placegetters in Bit Nosy (5 units ew, $1.90), Taikun Tommy (2 units ew, $2.20) and Ultimate Man (2 units ew, $1.70) got us a nice little place multi, plus a Yank, too make the day’s punting worthwhile…

Been a while between drinks for this fella, resumes today after almost 8 months, surely a tune-up for him as this looks a bit on the short side for him… Interest bet only.

Ex-French galloper, who’s rewarded us with three wins since impressing us this time last year. Needed the run on return, has won second up, and Johnny Allen is 3:2-0 on him, plus this is his distance. $41 seems generous, and he could be a placegetter at that price, and sweeten up the exotics…

VASMEE
Flemington, 7
He was impressive back in April at Sandown with an all-the-way win, then ran up in grade against a couple of good sorts before heading to the paddock. Won on resumption for us at Horsham at $8.50. Jockey is 6:4-0 on him, and he’s won 5 of his 10 races, so the $13 on offer also looks generous. Up in grade and distance, but ran well here under those circumstances six runs ago, and finished close up. A real chance here today…

SHE’S EXTREME

Very consistent filly, and she’ll run fav in the Oaks at around $2.30. Given a poor ride last time out but still finished a close third, query is up to the 2500m, but can win this. Class horse.

She got up for us a month back at Caulfield at $8 under a great ride from Blake Shinn, who is in great form and sticks today, and can repeat here in a very open betting race as $7 fav. Stats are good, Shinn will have her handy enough in the run and she can take this out late.
