Some nice returns…
Eleven yesterday on a busy midweek, and plenty to like!
We advised you to sell BOTH farms to back The Inevitable, (10 unit win) and it was better money in the bank at $1.30 as the little feller cruised home without seemingly any effort… He’s in to $21 in the All Star Mile on Paddy’s Day, worth an EW punt I reckon…
We suggested that an on-pace performance from Social Conscience (10 unit win) would see him home, and he stretched out very pleasingly down the straight despite a betting drift to win at a very nice $4.90/$2.10.
Add on a couple of seconds in Blazing Tycoon (3 units ew, $3.90) Maktastic (5 units ew, $1.10) and a third in Rioyuki ($1.30).
We also hit the post with three fourths in Fivefingerdiscount, Sir Simon and Frankel Star, to give us over 72% in the first four from our selections.
Five for Thursday, let’s get into them…
Five for Thursday…
TALISKER
Wanganui JC, 1
Flew home in the G2 on New Year’s Day and marked as next-time. Ran seventh in the Magic Million, and should be winning this as $1.30 fav.
BET: 10 unit win
BURITZ
Wanganui JC, 7
Needed the run first up, but previous form was consistent and is usually thereabouts. Back in grade and gets the in-form McNab up top, and she’ll be a threat late on at $6.
BET: 5 units ew
CUDDLES
Bathurst, 4
Getting better with each run this prep. On-pacer who’d prefer a bit of give but a chance at $9 in this…
BET: 4 units ew
HASTY DUCHESS
Kembla Grange, 7
Three wins from her first five races were not backed up in the next five races, and she’s a $15 shot in a very open betting race…
BET: 2 units ew
MANHATTAN FORCE
Pakenham, 5
Had been consistent this prep but was a touch plain last start. Bowditch sticks, and the $31 seems generous, so keep safe.
BET: 3 units ew
