Our best bet Rudhyar (10 unit win) scattered ‘em good style yesterday, with a powerful and impressive performance under Kah to win by over three lengths at $3.40, a thing of beauty to behold!
Eaglelou held on for third at $2.60, there’s more to come from him I’m sure.
Magnetic Prince flopped out of the stalls, but as predicted, he finished on well, and it was a good effort up in grade to finish sixth at around $20. Watching out for him next time, especially if he’s back in grade…
Bifrost flattered to deceive, was in it for a long way but died in the straight…
Nine from the book, with a few double-ups, so a real chance to get among the exotics today…

HASTINGS
Race 1: A quick freebie as I assemble today’s tips, it’s an early start at Hastings today, and we have two in KUSUDA and TUI ROCKS. They’ll need to pull finger to have an impression on this, but it’s a very small field, and stranger things have happened… Have a splash on the exotics, but don’t sell the farm…
BET: Exotics
Cranbourne
Race 2: AKKA’S METEOR is a 12 race maiden, but plenty to like about him. Has run a couple of placings for us since impressing last June, and his first up record is good. EW shot in a small field at $6.
BET: 3 units ew
GRAFTON
Race 7: LOLAROSIE impressed in November after his trainer spruiked him up. Since run a couple of thirds for us, but was plain at Gatton a month ago, so may prefer a bit of moisture under her. Bit short at $5.50/$2.15, but worth an ew wager
BET: 3 units ew
PINJARRA
Race 6: MISS INTENTION is making us wait since screaming home for second in October, not quite getting up to pay a dividend for us as yet… Has finished on well the last few races, maybe the extra 100m will help, $26 on offer.
BET: 2 units ew
TOWNSVILLE
Race 8: PALENCIA ticks an awful lot of boxes for this, and at $3, I just think he wins. STAR MIDFIELDER has won second up, and brings good Victorian provincial form with him, and probably need the first run back, can provide some spice to the exotics.
BET: Palencia 10 unit win, SM 4 units ew, exotics must!
Race 10: FOCUS has his hoof on the till, and will be a real threat in this. Fabulous stats, backable ew at $4/$1.80. Also in this, BOLD TYPE has just missed the placings in his last three, and back in grade, at his fav distance and on his fav ground can run a close race in this at $10.
BET: Focus: 5 units ew, 10 unit win if the money comes. BT 3 units ew, include both in exotics.
