Kapalua Sunset ($2.10) and Letsrollthedice ($1.50) ran second, Cosmic Rhapsody finished like a train to pay $8.40 for third, while Native Blue also ran third without paying a dividend. Winning Aces and Takeiteasy both ran close fourths…

Brilliant finish from dead last in Jan this year, but she’s done little up in grade since. Back a touch here, maybe an ew chance at $19, but suspect she’ll need the run…

HONEYCUP , ASTEROIDEA  

Ballarat Turf Club, 7

The former ran well on debut to score at Benalla and has since run well twice up in grade. Back a touch today, and up against older horses, but she does have some talent, and is backable ew as the $4 fav. Asteroidea won well on debut too, at Sale in July, but has done little since in five runs. $12 shot today.

BET: H 5 units ew. A 2 units ew, exotics

ALL ABOUT EVE 

Ballarat Turf Club, 8

Another one who won on debut, then ran two seconds before dropping form completely. Hard to enthuse at $15, but her win came at this distance…

BET: 2 units ew

DAMREEL 

Gatton, 8

Noted with a good finish this time last year but really hasn’t pushed on… This is his best distance but would prefer it a touch wetter. EW only at $10.

BET: 2 units ew

TWICE ON SUNDAY 

Hawkesbury Race Club, 5

On the quick back-up and is capable on her day, but does mix them a bit. $2.50 fav in a small field, has place two out of three at this distance and is 1:1 at this track.

BET: 5 unit win

REMUS 

Hawkesbury Race Club, 6

A plethora (look it up) of horses in the same mold today, and here’s another one… Poor strike rate, gets back in the run, but can finish well, so an ew shot in this at $6.50
