Today’s Tips: Thursday 1st December 2022
Great returns from yesterday!
Cracking day on the punt for us, with three winners from seven and a second and a fourth…
Rebel Lee (5 unit win) was available at $3 early and was spruiked and backed into $2 and cruised in by 4 lengths at even money.
Eaglelou (10 unit win) fulfilled earlier promise by getting up by a couple of lengths at $2.30.
But we had to wait till 10.30 for the performance of the day, as The Inevitable (10 unit win) produced an astonishing burst from being well back on the final bend to win by 2 lengths after being soft in the betting and paying $4. He’s only a little fella, but boy has he got some wheels!!
Foxy Femme couldn’t quite round out our Yank, running second on resumption, but is a watch for her next run.
Manhattan Force ran fourth resuming, also just denying us a place Yank at huge odds, and again we’ll be keeping an eye on his next run.
Still, a nice day with a nett gain of around $800…

ALLUVIAL
Wangaratta, 5
He was at good odds on his return at Ballarat at the end of October, and caught the eye with a smart finish for second. Good stats at this distance, Hill sticks, and this looks like his chance to break maidens at $10.

GHOST DOCTOR
Wangaratta, 6
Down in grade somewhat from his past few runs and ran a close fourth for us at $31 at Wodonga last time out. Fronts up here as the $2.70 fav in run number 66.

LUNAR HERO
Wangaratta, 8
On the 8 day back-up after running a close third (Bifrost second) last week, good stats for this and capable of taking this out as $3 fav.
BET: 6 unit win
PATENTED
Gatton, 6
Hit a rich vein of form this time last year with two wins and two placings for us. Went for two big spells and came back a month ago at Toowoomba needing the run. Has second up form, but will need to be on his toes over this 860m dash for cash at $15.

DAMREEL
Gatton, 7
Tried to lead all the way two weeks ago at Beaudesert, finishing a close up fifth. Better suited on the heavy today, is 1:1 at the track, don’t dismiss at $8.

SERTIN
Gatton, 8
He’s been going round at big odds recently, placing twice at $21. Drops in grade here, and while his win strike rate isn’t great, he can figure again here at $8 using the 3kg claim.

SPIRIT OF PLUTO
Coffs Harbour, 6
Noted flashing home at Tamworth in June last year, then won next time out for us at Coonamble. Ran two thirds for us, but was well back in his last run. $11 today, could show up late in the piece…
