Scratchings and the Rosehill abandonment reduced us down to 17 tips yesterday, but it was worth the wait to watch our Best Bet Tuvalu (10 unit win) put the afterburners on and turn his race into a procession, and he won easing down by a couple of lengths. If you jumped on early, you’d have got close to $3, but they came for him big time, and his SP was $2. I anchored him in the late qadi, and was rewarded with a $462 dividend…
The in-form Lisa Allpress kicked Ladies Man home by a similar margin (10 units at $2.30) and we just missed the quinella with Encierro…
Elsewhere some very nice place money, with Edit (3 units ew) almost hung on for the win but paid $5.50, going down by just a neck, and Rioyuki going down by the same margin at $6.10 the place, very juicy odds… Platform ran his second as fav, only paid $1.60…
Nice 29% overall strike rate for the day!!

Race 4: DAY LIGHT has changed stables and has had more success at this distance then any other. Likes the heavy, and could go close in an open event today at $9.

Race 5: REPO MAGIC led but faded late on his return 11 days ago, will have taken some benefit from that run and can improve today at $10.

Race 7: BLUE EYED SUSIE has won and placed here on her home track, and also has heavy form. Will run close to fav at around $3.40

PAKENHAM
Race 9: MANHATTAN FORCE was impressive on debut in December, winning by a couple of lengths at Geelong. Really hasn’t lived up to that in subsequent runs. First time on the AWT, could run a place at $5

Race 7: BLAZING TYCOON finally got up for us two back at $9, then ran a close second, both at this track. Reasonable stats for this, should be close again now she’s got the idea… $7 on offer…

Race 2: TAIKUN TOMMY has been pretty close up in his last four runs, and he’s got some reasonable stats for this second up. At $26, could be the sleeper…

Race 9: Looking at the recent form of TARA JASMINE, you’d be forgiven for writing her off, yet late last year she ran up 4 wins out of 5, in good fashion too… She’s an astonishing 6 from 6 on the track and distance here, and Ben Looker’s 4 from 4 in the saddle, great stats all round. Notwithstanding her recent form, she looks generous at $8…
