Today’s Tips: Sunday 30th October 2022
Some nice winners & placings…
Four winners, five seconds and three thirds from yesterday’s punt.
Highlight for me was our best bet in Asfoora (10 unit win), with a brilliant steer from Johnny Allen, cosying the $3 fav along in third until taking over in the straight and cruising away from the pack, a thing of beauty to watch!
Other winners for us were Inmyshadow (5 units ew) $5.70/$2, Ang Pow (10 unit win at $2.10) with another powerful performance and the Kalgoorlie specialist Fiendish at $3.70.
Runners-up included Belclare, not sure how she got beat as she cruised up to lead with 100 to go, but got nicked in a head-bobber on the line, Democracy Manifest, frustrating as Hughie had him dead last all the way and he flew home with a wet sail when it was all over, Skipping Girl (4 units ew, $2.80 the place), World Charmer ($1.70), and a real ball-buster in C’est Magique, paying $11.10 for the place!
Third placegetters were Gypsy Goddess (2 units ew) at $3.80, Jet Jitsu (had him too far back and flew home), and Spirit of Pluto at $2.40.
Overall, 42% of our picks made the frame…

SAVVY MAN & TELLING TALES
Ashburton, 7
Savvy Man showed some early promise, winning nicely when well supported at Riccarton in June but has been a touch plain since. Drops back to the BM65 and gets Kozzi up top, chance to return to the winner’s circle in this as $3.70 fav after a good finish last start. Telling Tales got up for us at $9 at Oamaru in June, and also finished well last start for a close sixth. Could provide exotic value at $7.

After five straight wins, you’ll be bank-bank-banking your winnings after he makes it six in a row. Down in grade… $1.70, better return than the bank too!!

He’s been in solid form for us recently, with four in the frame from his last five, and dropping in grade for this, $2.60 in a small field.

Won two back for us in a small field, and while mixing his runs a little, can get home as fav in this one at $3.
