Add to that a couple of seconds in Visinari ($1.50) and Titanium Power ($2.80) and a raft of thirds in Coco Rox ($2.30), And We Danced ($1.45) Caboche ($3.20), Tightlign ($2.30) and Castle Bay ($2.70). Zayydani and Dark Destroyer ran fourth.

Race 1: BOLD TYPE finished well from midfield on his return, and has a good record on this track and distance, ticks most of the boxes today, so he’s a real live chance at $6.50…

Race 1: FANTASY EAGLE drops back to his fav distance on his return from a 2 month break in the small field. Chance at $4.80.

WELLINGTON
Race 2: COUTURE was bumped badly back in Feb when coming into the race from the back to run fourth, then ran another fourth in a different scenario next time out. Back from a three month spell and could run a cheeky one first up at $4.
BET: 5 until win
Race 5: FOX SPIRIT won her only start here, and while her win strike rate is poor, she’s run in the top five in her last five outings, so is a chance to repeat at $9.

MOUNT GAMBIER
Race 7: RED HOT CHILLYPINS is back after 2 months spell, has trialled twice to no great effect, and while getting to her fav distance today, will need to show some improvement to trouble these. $41 on offer.

IPSWICH
Race 5: STELLAR POWER is usually up around the speed, but can’t seem to finish them off. Nearly two years since his last win and up in grade, he’s another who’ll need to improve… $23 shot

MILDURA
Race 5: SUPER QUICK LOVE is another who races from the back and is 2/2 at the course and distance. Chance on that form at $4.60 in an open betting race…

GUNNEDAH
Race 5: FIENDISH is another who like to swoop late, he’s back in grade after finding the heavy going not to his liking at Scone last time out, and is capable of bouncing back in this as $3.30 fav, especially with fav jock onboard… FREETHINKER also turns out in this one, but will need to improve somewhat to trouble these at $101…
