MT was the hot ticket on day one here after some previous ordinary form and get up for second, with TT just behind. One of the joint favs at around $5.50.

CAPO DELL IMPERO, GIVEHERAGO

Noted bolting in back in March, and has since got up for a first and a second for us since. Resumed at start of this month after a 6 month break at Wingatui, needing the run and finishing well for a close seventh placing. He won’t want it too wet but will go round close to co-favourite, c=an back him EW at $4.50/$1.95. Giveherago has won here, marginal chance at $15…

MIRROR ONE

Grafton, 4

We rated him a chance to finally break the maiden last time at Gold Coast but he ran sixth. Has run seven placings in twelve, but does get the in-form Benny Looker onboard, and I’ve a feeling this is his day… Fav at $2.60.

GEM OF THE LOCHS, ULTIMATE MAN

Grafton, 7

GOTL has only won five times, but twice of those for us at big odds, and a second last time out.. Back-marker who’ll be finishing on, so the extra 200m should suit. $7.50 on offer. UM drops in grade for this but has been struggling to place since winning for us in April but has good T&D stats for this. $5.50 on offer

BET: Can back both 3 units ew, would certainly spice up the exotics…

On the face it he looks out of his depth in this, but is being spruiked in some quarter with Vorster stepping onboard today. Around the $18 mark, keep an eye on betting…

Spruiked up on debut here in August and duly obliged. Came out two weeks later, and was a good thing beaten in a small field, also as fav, and can make amends here after a three month break. Can get $2.20 on 365 right now, should be too good for these…
