Bit of a drought for our blackbookers lately, but that’s racing… law of averages says we’ll bounce back shortly with some winners, so keep the faith!! Four from the book, a cheeky little $2 Yank ($22) will get you $21K…
MURRAY BRIDGE
Race 5: DR COPPER ran a sequence of placings for us last year before going off the boil and spelled for 9 months. Returned three weeks ago with a close fifth, and while he’s not got a great winning strike rate, he’s got good placing stats (17: 1-9). Has placed second up previously, and based on that is an ew shot here at $14.

BAIRNSDALE
Race 5: JOLTIN’ JOE drops in grade for this, has done us a few favours over the past few months, including a $23 win and a $61 second… Back to provincial level here, and think he can take out the fav, $2.80 on offer… Watch for him late…

WELLINGTON
Race 8: GORUSH LIGHTNING was backed in to fav in August and produced a huge finish to win at Moruya. Went up in grade for the next two to just miss the frame, then went to the paddock for 5 month. Back to BM66 today, but will need to be closer in the run for this 900m dash-for-cash but can get a piece of this at $26

BALLARAT
Race 3: Kiwi MAKTASTIC makes his Aussie debut on the back of a series of placings in NZ, and is expected to go well… Drops to the 1500m today, but he’s usually reasonably prominent, so if they’ve got him ready after a near 3 month break, he can get some of this. $6 on offer
