Today’s Tips: Sunday 26th June 2022
Another massive day of near-misses with Cork providing our highlight of the day with a $4.30 win.
Turbeau was flashing second to the impressive UK debutante He’s Our Bonneval (he’s in the book!) paying $3.90 the place, and Chokito also running a second at $1.80.
Running third we had Prance’n’Dance ($2.30), The First Link ($1.70), Pioneer River ($3.80) and Looks Like Elvis ($3.40), plus five horses running close fourths…
Not our most distinguished Saturday win strike rate, hopefully we recovered some funds from those place bets/exotics…
Onto Sunday, with a busy eight from the book, including some roughies…

Race 2: COUTURE was noted getting bumped out of it in Feb and recovering well for fourth. Hasn’t gone on with it from there, and rates just an interest bet today at $21.
BET: 2 units ew
Race 5: FOX SPIRIT is in similar more, hard to see more than a place chance here at $41.
BET: 2 units ew
Race 8: POSSIBLY SO got up here for us two weeks back, at $6, jumps in grade and a touch in distance, but Cavallo sticks, and he can on with it here as fav at $3.40
BET: 8 unit win
LAUNCESTON
Race 1: MOSHAMA hit the book in November with a big finish to win, but hasn’t reproduced anywhere near that form since. He’s a $71 shot, and rightly so.
BET: 2 units ew
Race 7: GREGORIAN CHANT won an resumption for us but has been ordinary since. Another ew bet today at $26.

CASTERTON
Race 4: Seems to be a theme running through these today, NATIVE BLUE has been nearer last than first in his last four races. Although a noted wet tracker, I can’t understand the $8 support for him, even if he is down in grade (slightly!)

Race 5: AEECEE DOLCE has been generally thereabouts, and is back today after three months away. Nice race to kick off for her, chance as second fav at $4.60
BET: 5 unit win
DONALD
Race 8: ROYAL FOX noted running a bit green when winning his maiden in November at the Bool, hasn’t been far off in subsequent races, back up to today after nearly 5 months. Chance at $13.
