Today’s Tips: Sunday 23rd January 2022
Well we managed to pull out some nice winners again yesterday, and not just odds-on favs either:

Add to those three seconds in Lost Impact, And We Danced and Lonado, and a nicely priced Karman Line at $4.10…
It’s busy little Sunday, with eight meetings and we have a few more gems from the book… Nine in all, including three races that include two of our picks, so work your exotics around them too…
SUNSHINE COAST
Race 7: SELFLESS got up for us at Terang after a 7 month spell at $13 in November, then stepped up in grade at Sandown last month and ran last, missing the frame for the first time at this distance. Back to the BM64 today, and as long as it’s not too soft underfoot, she’s a chance. Tends to finish at either end of the field, so ew looks best at around $18…
BET: 3 units ew
WYONG
Race 6: CROC LURKIN’ caught the eye on return, edging out our pick in Akka’s Meteor three weeks back. Up in grade but looks a value ew bet at $12.
BET: 3 units ew
Race 7: TWICE ON SUNDAY produced a tremendous burst to win at Orange 5 weeks ago at BM74, but unaccountably couldn’t back it up back at BM64 in the next two. Will run fav today in another open race.
BET: 4 unit win
MT BARKER
Race 4: WESTERN KING spaces his wins out, and will run rank outsider today, $51 currently on offer if you look around. Has occasionally got in for us, but place seems best today…
BET: 2 units ew
Race 6: SILVER BO was noted for her fast finish in June at Lismore, but went off the boil and has been spelled for 6 months. Has had a couple of trials recently, but just may need this one as she’s more noted for her second-up form. Small ew bet is indicated at around $21.
BET: 2 units ew
PENOLA
Race 4: YOUNG JIMMY and ATOMIC WIZARD look like they’ll fight this out after both winning impressively last time out. I’m going for the former, who appears to have a bit more scope, even though AW is dropping in grade. Quinella is a must though…
BET: 8 unit win YJ, 10 unit quinella
HOBART
Race 8: FULL KNOTS AHEAD has found her mojo, steaming in by 8 lengths here three weeks ago, then following up for us here a week later at $2.90. Good stats for this and looks value at around $9 despite the rise in class. SIR SIMON impressed in early November at Launceston but has disappointed since. He’s $6 in an open betting race.
BET: Back both at 3 units ew and work them into your exotics. $5 quinella.
