Today’s Tips: Sunday 19th June 2022
Some success yesterday as we found a big odds winner, and what a winner it was!
Texas Tea blew ‘em away by nearly three lengths at HQ in race 7, at a very juicy $23.80/$5.70, plus some nice exotics if you managed to get onboard!
On May 2nd, Passive Aggressive stepped out to win her maiden on debut. 47 days later, she makes in four in a row by picking up her first Stakes win. Better things to come for this girl, super Impressive I’d say! Paid $2.90 (10 unit win) and we locked in the obvious quinella with Star Patrol (10 unit win, paid $2.70)
Titanium Power cruised home in the last at Rosehill, paying a very generous $7.80/$2.60 (5 units ew).
Best Bet Coco Rox untypically blew the start by 2-3 lengths, she’s normally at the front, and the effort to make up that lost ground told in the final 100 metres as she was beaten less than a length into fourth. Decent jump, and they’d have been hard-pressed to catch her. We certainly go again with her…
We also had a clutch of seconds and thirds (place prices shown), in second Little Joe ($2.70), Visinari ($1.40), North Afrika ($2.50) and Fabrikka ($2.90). In third we had Tezoff (ND), Ornate ($2.80) and Aero de Paris ($2.70).

Race 4: SILVER BO ran a couple of close seconds for us couple of months back before jumping in grade. Back today, but up to the mile, her racing pattern looks as if she’ll appreciate the trip, and experienced jock Kathy Yuill jumps up instead of the apprentice who rides our next pick… Chance at $26…

Race 7: BLAZING TYCOON finally got up for us last week here at $9, not sure why she’s dropping back 200m to the 1100m today, she finished like a train to win, hope she’s not too far off them at the final bend… $7.50 on offer

SUNSHINE COAST
Race 7: MISS MECCA won at Rocky two back for us, then ran last 2 weeks back. Hard to enthuse today, she’s the rank outsider at $71, so interest bet only…

Race 8: LEAVE ME ALONG has just had the one win, but ran a SP $17 third for us last time out 8 days ago. Drops in weight, good draw and a gear change, can get a piece of this today at $6.
BET: 4 units ew
Race 9: FESTIVAL PRINCE looks a good bet today. He swooped from the back out at Toowoomba for us two weeks back and the extra 200m today should worry him as he’s won twice at this distance before. $3 on offer, he’ll win for me. We also have EDIT and STELLAR POWER in this. The former has been running in higher grade than this, and you’d think he’s gonna figure in the placings. SP was our Best Roughie 8 days ago, and duly got up for third at SP $21.

COONAMBLE
Race 8: C’MON AND LOVE ME is a consistent animal. Resumes here after a 5 month break, and has trialled recently. Loves the distance, and hasn’t missed the top four in 8 runs. Has won first up, Pracey-Holmes jumps on, he’s a shot if ready at $7

Race 6: MOON OVER ALICE tends to mix ‘em up a bit, ran a third for us three weeks back at Hamilton at SP $12. Chance in a small field at $3.70

ALICE SPRINGS
Race 4: FANTASY EAGLE resumed after 2 months in the paddock with a close-up second three weeks ago, and drops in grade for this. He’ll need to knock off the handy fav, but it looks like a two-horse battle. $3.50 on offer

HOBART
Race 1: To be honest, I’m getting a bit gun-shy of SIR SIMON… Had some early success in Tazzy but this on-pacer has disappointed in the past half dozen races. He’s a $3.50 fav in a small field, but can only suggest a small interest bet on him…
